Our goal at Rudolf's Travel Experiences, is to make it simple, easy and fun to discover and experience Finland. In keeping with this goal, we have started our first services in 2007 to two destinations that have been designed specifically with the Independent Traveller in mind.
Rudolf's City Experience
Starting
from June 2007, we have been running day tours from Helsinki to two different
destinations. These tours are designed to not only informative and fun, but
to give a chance for the traveller to really experience a little of Finland
in a short amount of time.
Porvoo & Sauna Experience
Rudolf’s Porvoo & Sauna Experience takes you to the charming old town of Porvoo. Our tour brings you to the narrow, cobble stoned street of this lovely wooden city, as your guide tells you interesting stories about the Finnish history and way of life. After a lunch break, we continue to the second part of our Experience. You get to try out the most Finnish of all things - sauna. All who dare can try out the relaxing steam baths, and the cool themselves in the lake.
Turku & Archipelago Experience
Rudolf’s Turku & Archipelago Experience takes you to the oldest town of Finland – Turku.
On the way we stop at the picturesque village, where the Artists have taken over
the 18th manufacturing township. Our route then continues to the Archipelago that surrounds
Turku, believed by many Finns to be the most beautiful part of the country. We lunch at a small
restaurant famed for its traditional Archipelago menu. We then continue to Turku, the previous
capital of Finland, for a tour of the magnificent Medieval Castle and the only Medieval Cathedral
in Finland.

Here at Rudolf's Travel Experiences,
we believe that in Finland there is so much to offer the Independent Traveller.
We also believe that it should be simple easy and fun to find out what there is to see and do.
Not only the main attractions, but all the amazing experience that are to be had 'off the beaten
track' that is not normally promoted in commercial brochures etc.
To fulfil our aim of bring all this information to the Independent Traveller, we are currently developing a community based Web Portal for Finland. This Portal will not only contain a lot of information about attractions, accommodation, and festivals etc. but to be a fully fledged internet community where people can create there own travel blogs, participate in different forums, recommend specific places to see/things to do etc. The traveller will also be able to rate or comment on information about attractions/accommodation etc and make this site truly interactive.

The Future
Although our Rudolf's City Experience services are based around Helsinki, we believe the real Finland can be found away from the main centres. We want to make it simple, easy, and fun to Experience all there is to offer in this northern region. Our country wide services will run several times a week, taking the traveller to the interesting and exciting parts of Finland and lasting between 7 and 14 days. These tours will for example take in the Swedish speaking villages in the west, the wild nature of northern Lapland, and the amazing lakes of the east. The Traveller will get to experience multiple cultures, different landscapes, varied nature, and 1000 years of history all in a relaxed and friendly way. Like all our services, these tours are designed with the Independent Traveller in mind and will offer flexibility for example in choice of budget accommodation.
